An innovative design and construction method addressing development challenges on Wilson Street in downtown Ancaster will help bring a planned office building to life and create opportunities for future area development.
Construction of the three-storey building at 385 Wilson St. will use pre-cast molded concrete blocks made by Coreslab Structures in Flamborough.
Andrew Thistlethwaite of Dundas, who has been working with property owner Dr. Allen Greenspoon for more than three years on the project, explained the challenge was finding a way to construct a building that fit in with the surrounding area and met the tough restrictions of the new Wilson Street Secondary Plan.
